The Thing (3)

Blair Witch Project (3)
Terrifier (2)
“Terrifier” is one of the most gore-heavy unsettling movies. The imagery might make you cover your eyes, look away or even turn it off. It’s far scarier than all other traditional slasher movies. Cooper Pamani
The Black Phone 2 (3)
The “Black Phone 2” is a solid sequel because it builds on the first movie’s successes instead of just rehashing the same plot. The film keeps that tense, creepy vibe where you’re constantly on edge, but it also goes deeper into the characters and their personal battles. You get a clearer picture of who they are, what they’re going through emotionally, and how the events from the first movie continue to affect them. This makes the horror more personal and impactful because it’s not just about being scared; it’s about what’s at stake for these individuals.
Saw #2
“Saw” They all have intense gore scenes, and the idea of “becoming a better person” is interesting especially the way it’s forced on them. Seeing the aftermath of what happens if they survive is interesting, too. – Mason Castrillo

“The Shining” because it is classic horror and is still scary to this day. – Hazel Shultz
Jaws
”Jaws” is my favorite scary movie because I like suspense and thrillers over gory horror.” – Anna Maher

Scary Movie
Clover Field
“Clover Field” is my favorite horror movie at the moment because of the amazing atmosphere that the film showcases in almost every scene. And unusually I do not like monster horror films, but I really enjoy this film. What is super cool about this film is that it is completely found footage, which means that the whole film is filmed on this crappy camera that is held by the actual characters in the film. A really cool movie, not too scary but has its moments, and if you have not seen it I really recommend it. – Achilles Weatherford (12)
Jeepers Creepers
Helen Keller: The Documentary
The Ritual
Orphan
The Barbarian
Megan
