Recently the Sanjuan Unified school district purchased licensing for the use of Magic Student. Magic Student is an artificial intelligence tool that can be used by both students and educators in the classroom.
Last school year the district held an evaluation with students and teachers who had experimented with this technology. They decided this would be a great tool for students to utilize and would help them prepare for A.I. in future careers.
Teachers will have the ability to monitor and decide what will be used on the new program. They will also be able to see what their students are communicating to the tool.
This is one of the first big steps that the district has taken in regards to artificial intelligence. With the ever increasing presence of A.I. in our everyday lives this is a great step toward the modernization of our education.

I think that it is interesting that the San Juan Unified school district supports the incorporation of AI platforms in our education, considering the cautious and often anti-AI stance many teachers currently have.
