Want to have a say in the direction of the school?
Rio Americano’s Site Council is looking for new parent and student representatives.
The principal, teachers, other school personnel, parents and students make up the council, which develops, reviews and evaluates school improvement programs and budgets.
A primary focus is to develop and then update every year the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA).
“The School Site Council is intended to be a decision-making body that represents all stakeholders of the school community,” Principal Cliff Kelly said in an email.
The council meets once a month from 3:45-4:45
